Yorkshire Laser shortlisted for national Manufacturing Award!
CUSTOMER service has always been paramount for us and now we’ve been given the thumbs up by our peers. Yorkshire Laser Fabrication have been shortlisted for The Manufacturer MX Awards’ Achieving Customer Value award!
As the UK manufacturing industry’s most coveted award, The Manufacturer MX Awards (TMMXA) celebrates the very best in British manufacturing and has recognized Yorkshire Laser for it’s standard of excellence in achieving customer value.
But it’s not over yet! Yorkshire Laser now faces another gruelling judging process where expert judges will visit to see us in action and rigorously grill our management team – sleepless nights for Matthew then!
After that the winner will be named The Manufacturer of the Year.
There are lots of award events but The Manufacturer TMMXA are the standout awards attracting interest and entries from businesses including McClaren, Jaguar Land Rover and BMW. Judging is tough with organisations such as IMECHE (Institute of Mechanical Engineering) involved. To have reached this stage is accolade enough but we’ll be on our best behaviour on September 11 when they arrive in Normanton. We’ll even get some biscuits.
Matt Orford, MD at YLF, said: “We are delighted to have reached the final for such a high-level award and are extremely proud to put Yorkshire Laser on the map. Customer value and experience is something we prioritise at YLF, so we are thrilled to receive industry wide recognition for it.
“We’re not taking a back seat yet though, we’re expecting the next judging process to be even tougher than the last. The judges are going to try to pull us to pieces but I’m excited to demonstrate the exceptional quality and service YLF delivers on site,” Matt added.
The winners will be announced at the black-tie gala dinner on 15 November at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool as it is set to be the biggest celebration in the UK manufacturing calendar.
Companies including Accolade Wines, BMW and Jaguar Land Rover are among those that have been shortlisted in ten categories. Previous winners include McLaren Automotive which won The Manufacturer of the Year Award in 2017.
Nick Peters, Editorial Director of The Manufacturer, said, “There are dozens of awards programmes in the manufacturing sector, but The Manufacturer MX Awards stands head and shoulders above them all. Judging is tough but that makes the biggest names in British manufacturing so keen to take part to prove themselves against their peers and competitors. It is also why companies like McLaren Automotive are so eager to take part, because they know they are being tested in a way no other programme can offer,” he added.
Matt Orford said: “This is an incredibly proud moment for the Yorkshire Laser team and I’d like to thank all of our dedicated staff that have contributed to this prestigious recognition.”
